Pulborough Brooks

My first real birding trip for a few weeks now after feeling a bit unmotivated recently. It was nice to be back and Pulborough, and I had the reserve pretty much to myself. I was early enough to West Mead to catch a Barn Owl. A Peregrine was perched on a post and there were c300 Canada Geese on the water in front of the hide. On the North Brooks I noted c600 Lapwing, amongst which were 2 Black-tailed Godwits, 2 Dunlin, a Ruff and a single male Tufted Duck. A Cetti's Warbler gave a burst of song from below The Hangar.  West Mead North Brooks
