Hail's View and Pulborough Brooks

A quick pre work visit to Hail's View produced highlights of Sedge Warbler, Wheatear, and a Hobby briefly on the dead ash tree.

Later on there were reports of a Pectoral Sandpiper on the North Brooks, and it being a lifer for me I headed down after work. I immediately found it, on its own, feeding on the left side of the near pool. It was still distance, but I could just make out it's slightly decurved bill and light underparts, and the long tail was evident. Ruff is a confusion species and I could see why. However, it is a much more nicely proportioned species.
