Hail's View, Amberley Wildbrooks and Bignor Hill

Hails view was quiet again this morning with pretty much the same birds as a couple of days ago. Heard only Green Sandpiper and Greenshank were the highlights.

At Amberley a Whinchat was along from Middle Gutter, a Kingfisher gave a close flyby on Ham Corner, and 2 Wheatears were perched up near the abattoir. 4 Whinchats were again on the Quell Farm side and a Snipe was heard then seen heading east. 4 Sand Martins came low over. I very likely saw a hobby which was flushed as I walked up to Ham Corner, but frustratingly it went straight behind the trees and out of view. Time is running out to add one to my Amberley list this year!

At Bignor Hill this evening there were 8 Redstarts, 2 Spotted Flycatchers, a Wheatear, 3 Marsh Tits and a Raven.
