Black Down

I popped over to Black Down on the way home from work this evening and it was remarkably quiet, as much as for people as for birds. I recorded just 16 species on my two mile route. The 5 Siskins I recorded I only discovered after seeing seeds falling from a beach tree as they nibbled away in the canopy in complete silence. The only other birds of note were 2 Spotted Flycatchers and a juvenile Stonechat. The only raptor was a Buzzard.
