Dungeness Seawatching Hide and Dungeness RSPB
On the last day of my Rye and Dungeness I went down to the seawtaching hide where I had a nice mirning chatting to some of the local Kent birders. The passage wasn't great, however, with just a Great Skua, an Arctic Skua, a couple of Fulmer and a Kittiwake noted. I stopped off at Boulderwall Farm on the road to the RSPB reserve to see if I could find the ibis. I was out of luck, but it was an entertaining trip with lots of Whimbrel about, a couple of Marsh Harriers and some fox cubs behind on the shingle.
