Amberley Wildbrooks

The weather looked more inviting than it turned out to be over Amberley on an evening walk after work; the wind had picked up creating quite a chill. Not much change from recent visits, the Merlin is still around, and the Great White Egret was seen again over the Rackham side. 4 Little Egrets and 5 Grey Herons were also noted, as was a Barn Owl and 3 Red Kites. A single Snipe and a Lapwing under the castle were the other notable birds. I estimate there is around 300 Fallow Deer grazing the brooks now.
