A great trip around one of my favourite routes this morning starting at Amberley going through the brooks to Coldwaltham and then back via Rackham. Highlights were 9 Spotted Flycatchers, 6 Blackcaps, 3 Whitethroats, 1 L Whitethroat, 1 Wheatear, 2 Whinchats, c10 Yellow Wags, c30 Siskins, 2 Red Kites a Marsh Harrier and a Hobby.

In the afternoon I walked from Kithurst to Lee Farm and back and the highlights were 1 Wheatear, 1 Corn Bunting, 3 Red Kites and loads of Buzzards and Ravens.

Update 09/09/20 - I think the bird in the picture above is a Willow Warbler. Aside from the obviously lighter leg colour than on Chiffchaff, the primary feathers are quite long and unevenly spaced, the supercilium and eye stripe are bold giving a well patterned face, and there is a pale patch under the eye.
