Pulborough Brooks and Warningcamp

An early start at Pulborough in an attempt to avoid the intense heat produced highlights of Redstart along the fence between little hanger and Redstart corner, singing Willow Warbler by little hanger, and much of the usual on the north brooks.

In the aftetnoon I walked around the river at Warningcamp where in the almost unbearable heat the highlights were a few Common Gulls, a Great Crested Grebe on the river, a Yellowhammer, 2 Linnets, a small group of Stonechats, a Buzzard, a Red Kite, 3 Little Egrets feeding in a field, a group of 5 Mistle Thrushes and loads of Swallows. Most birds were stationary panting with their beaks open, such was the extremes of the heat.
