Arun Valley

My first early morning trip for a while. At Amberley there were good numbers of Willow Warbler and Stonechat, a flyover Green Sandpiper, 2 Kingfishers, a family party of Sedge Warblers, 2 House Martins attending a nest on the last house before the start of the Wey South Path, and a single Swallow.

At Waltham Brooks there were plenty of Stonechats too, as well as a few Whitethroats, Reed Buntings and Linnets, 5 Swallows and my third Kingfisher of the day.

Final stop was Hails View and Black Wood where counts were dismal with just 18 species recorded and highlights were Stonechat, Whitethroat and Buzzard.
