I took the Castle Walk around Knepp this afternoon, which was unsurprisingly busier than previous walks given the weather and lock down conditions. Still a good trip with 48 species recorded, including 3 Lesser Whitethroats, 3 Cuckoos, and 2 Nightingales heard on the route. The White Storks were busy attending to their nest. The final stop was at the Hammer Pond where I briefly heard the purring of a Turtle Dove, but again failed to get views and didn't hear it again. I noticed quite a few Jackdaw nests around, hearing the little Jackdaw sounds coming from the nest.
