Bignor Hill
I took a longer route than normal from Bignor Hill, walking down to Eartham Wood and back along the roman road on a pleasant summer like evening. A couple of Marsh Tits and a couple or Firecrests were recorded, and right at the last, by Great Bottom, a Wheatear was feeding with some thrushes on a newly turned over field. I wondered given the late date whether it was a Greenland female. It was a pleasing find as I thought I had missed them on spring migration this year.
