A wet and blustery day started at Rye Harbour at first light where a poorly timed dash to the wader pool hide left me drenched. Waders here were Lapwing, Redshank, Oystercatcher and a bird I've been waiting to add to my list for a while, Golden Plover. Also around were a few Tufted Duck and Shelduck, and a flock of Great Black-backed Gulls. The Terney Pool and quary were both quiet, with most birds probably hunkering down out of the wind. A few Brent Geese were around the Wader Pool as I left.

The scene was similar at Dungeness early afternoon, with frequent showers and blustery winds. At the ARC Pit were Pochard, 2 or 3 Goldeneye and a Great White Egret. Around the main reserve the highlights were 2 Marsh Harriers, a Peregrine, a Sparrowhawk and 2 Great White Egrets.
