Siddlesham Ferry Pool and Church Norton

I headed over to Pagham and first stop was Siddlesham Ferry Pool. Of note around the reserve were 20 Avocet, 2 Snipe, a Little Grebe, a Cetti's Warbler and a Grey Wagtail.

At Church Norton there were many big flocks of distant waders, mostly Dunlin I think. In the harbour were the usual suspects plus a few Brent Geese, an Avocet and a Whimbrel. On the beach, amongst the many Turnstones, were 5 Sanderling; a life tick for me. The tide was in so I didn't get to see their iconic clockwork toy performance, but they were nice and close, very paled coloured, and I even got good views of their feet to confirm, indeed, they do not have hind claws.
