East Head, Chichester Harbour
I started the day with a visit to a new site. It was foggy when I arrived but it cleared quickly. There was comfortably 200 Brent Geese around, but unfortunately the next highest count was of dogs, which meant there was little else around; my total species count was 14, pretty dire for such a promising area that would undoubtedly be brimming with wildlife were it not for the out of control dogs. Notable waders were Oystercatcher, Dunlin, Grey Plover and a sinlge Knot, most of which were being chased around by dogs.
